PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Life Power 48V 20A Smart Charger charges 48V LiFePO4 batteries quickly, stably and safely from a 90-260 VAC source. Ideal for golf carts, energy banks, solar systems, telecommunications and industrial use, it has built-in protection against short circuit, overcharge, reverse polarity and high temperature. It optimizes the charging cycle to extend the life and performance of your LifePower batteries.

It features Automatic Shut-off (green indicator) when the battery is fully charged and Smart Restart, which resumes the cycle only when needed, preventing overcharging and maximizing the life of your bank.

Its permanent connection makes it a double-conversion solution: combined with a LifePower inverter, it converts unstable AC power from the grid to DC to charge the battery, and then from DC to fully clean, regulated AC to power your equipment. The result: no dips, no spikes and no electrical noise reaching your appliances, no matter how dirty the power from the street is.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The LifePower 48V Smart Charger is designed especially for LifePower LiFePO4 batteries, providing efficient and safe charging. Thanks to its advanced charging profile, it protects the batteries and extends their life, and it can stay connected permanently as a maintainer. Its main features are the AUTO RESTART function, an IP65 rating (dust and splash resistant), and protection against over-temperature, overvoltage, over-current, reverse polarity and short circuits. It also has protection for long-duration charging and is designed to stay connected to the battery permanently, switching on and off automatically when the battery needs it. Technical specifications: input voltage of 110–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, output voltage of 57.6 V DC, and output and maximum charging current of 20 A, equal to 1,152 W. It is compatible with LifePower LiFePO4 batteries and has a charging efficiency of 91% or more. Safety note: do not connect with reversed polarity. Status LEDs: steady green (100% full), steady yellow (80% full) and steady red (charging). Warning indicators: red flashing ½ (reverse polarity), red flashing 1 (over-current), red flashing 2 (overvoltage), red flashing 3 (low voltage), red flashing 4 (over-temperature) and red flashing 5 (battery fault). TWICE THE POWER?

Yes! At Life Power we build all our batteries with lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO₄), which offers many advantages over traditional batteries. Among them: up to 70% less weight, up to 5 times faster charging and a significantly longer service life (on average 5 to 10 years longer). One of the most notable advantages is the stable voltage curve. Unlike a lead-acid battery, whose voltage drops as it discharges, a Life Power LiFePO₄ battery keeps a constant voltage for 99% of its charge. This means you use all the energy down to the last drop and get twice the usable power of traditional batteries.

ARE LITHIUM BATTERIES SAFE?

Yes. Life Power LiFePO₄ lithium batteries are one of the safest technologies on the market. Their smart management system (BMS) is designed to prevent overcharging, deep discharge, overheating and short circuits. They also include our Armor Shield protection system, which adds an extra level of safety in extreme conditions, making them reliable for cars and motorcycles as well as solar, marine and car audio systems. In short: they are stable, reliable and much safer than traditional batteries.

HOW DO I CHARGE A LITHIUM BATTERY?

If the battery is installed in a car or a motorcycle, the alternator keeps it charged.
If the battery runs down and you want to use an external charger, it must be a charger made for lithium, and the charge must not exceed 14.5V to protect its life and performance.
